Dr. Marie Jeanne H. Embolo Abena is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Principal Compliance Consultant of Gergarde Care, a consulting firm dedicated to helping healthcare providers build compliant, sustainable, and person-centered organizations. With more than a decade of leadership experience in healthcare administration, human services, and regulatory compliance, Dr. Embolo has earned a reputation for helping organizations strengthen operations, improve quality outcomes, and confidently navigate complex regulatory requirements.

Her expertise spans 245D programs, Designated Manager (DM) services, Designated Coordinator (DC) services, Individualized Home Supports (IHS), Community Residential Services (CRS), Integrated Community Supports (ICS), waiver services, policy development, quality assurance, and DHS compliance.

Dr. Embolo combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational experience. Having served in executive leadership, case management, and program management roles, she understands both the regulatory expectations and the practical challenges providers face every day. Her consulting approach is rooted in collaboration, education, and continuous quality improvement, empowering organizations to move beyond compliance toward operational excellence.

She holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and is passionate about building systems that protect vulnerable populations while supporting providers in delivering exceptional, person-centered care.
